My Works.
The Past
My academic journey began at the London School of Economics (LSE), a vibrant and intellectually stimulating institution known for its remarkable scholars, including Nobel laureates like Merton Miller, Robert Coase, and Amartya Sen. During my time at LSE, I was profoundly influenced by the work of Anthony Giddens, who later served as the Director of LSE. My academic exposure extended to the groundbreaking ideas of Edward T. Hall, Jane Jacobs, and Enid Mumford, alongside philosophical inspiration from Friedrich Nietzsche.
Another significant milestone during this period was my introduction to the Tavistock Institute and the socio-technical movement, which has informed much of my academic and research pursuits. This foundation has shaped the way I approach problems at the intersection of technology, organizations, and society.

The Present
As an information scientist, my work revolves around understanding how information is managed within organizations and society. My research spans diverse topics, from safeguarding information resources to addressing emergent issues like privacy and identity in an increasingly digital world. Social and ethical considerations regarding technology use form a significant part of my focus.
Currently, I primarily lecture postgraduate students, covering topics such as information security, project management, and strategic planning. Additionally, I supervise doctoral students, collaborating with them to develop theoretical frameworks for understanding various aspects of information security. This role allows me to contribute to the academic and practical advancement of the field.
Academic Administration
Beyond teaching and research, I have held multiple academic administrative positions throughout my career. These roles have included:
- Head of Department
- Director of Online MBA Programs
- Program Coordinator
- AACSB Accreditation Advisor
- Director of Accreditation
I have also been actively involved in international recruitment and program development. One of the most rewarding projects of my career has been collaborating with Akal University in India to establish a new business school. The MBA program at Akal University specializes in Business Analytics and primarily serves first-generation students from modest backgrounds, fostering opportunities for their growth and success.
